GG 015: Don’t Miss God In The Transition
Welcome back in to the arena, Graceful Gladiator!
This podcast was recorded at my desk early in the morning as I watched the birds from my window at my desk at home. If you want to know the full story on my birds, then you can check out the post about Mike’s gift to me here or here. These little birds inspired the message for today and I believe it was such a divine word from the Lord for me that I hope that you receive a unique word through it for you too.
Birds seem to be this gentle, magical reminder to me that God is in the simple things.
Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
1 Corinthians 1:27
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time.
